Cleaning the Bill Acceptor
Regular cleaning of the sensor, pinch rollers and bill path will enhance the operation of the Bill Acceptor. Poor acceptance of bills is generally caused by dirt of exhaust film on the magnetic sensor of the Bill Acceptor.
Complete the following steps:
1. Clean the bill path, sensors, and timing belts with a soft cloth, moistened with water only. Do not spray liquid into or on the Bill Acceptor.
2. Remove any debris trapped by the drive wheels or credit lever. Debris may be removed from the sensor or rollers using household transparent tape.
Bill Acceptor Cleaning Cards are available for purchase and help keep the bill path clear of debris and functioning.
Caution: Do not use alcohol-based cleaners with your bill acceptor. It will deteriorate and damage the internal rubber components.
